Constantina Back in London for the ASICS British 10K London Run and Visits New ASICS London Flagship Store

July 12, 2009

Back in London for the fourth time since winning her gold medal in Beijing, Constantina Dita (ASICS) competed along with 27,400 other participants in the ASICS British 10K London Run. Catherine Ndereba and Constantina had a good duel for the first 6K, after which Catherine pulled away for the win.

On Saturday before the race, Constantina paid a visit to the new ASICS London flagship store to meet the store staff and sign autographs for 20 winners of a Runner’s World UK contest.  While there she also had interviews with Runner’s World and another UK fitness magazine.  The Asics UK store featured a display with shoes from top ASICS athletes including Constantina and 2000 Sydney Olympic marathon champion, Naoko Takahashi of Japan.

On Sunday invited guests and athletes warmed up at the original Hard Rock Cafe next to Hyde Park.  In pre-race festivities Constantina and Beijing Silver medalist Catherine Ndereba met, Duncan Sandys,
the great grandson of Winston Churchill.
